Utsjoki was in a pickle: their year-long travel brand project was stuck and they needed a new perspective to move forward. We created a new interpretation of their previous projects for a fresh, authentic path towards the future of travel in Utsjoki.

Creating a truthful, distinctive brand for Finland’s northernmost corner.

03 Strategy

Since we wanted to keep the brand true and appealing, we decided to focus on the essentials. We sifted through previous materials and sought out the most profound aspects, distilled them to their essence and created narrative touchpoints for the brand.

We built on previous work while introducing elements that help Utsjoki stand out from their competition, weaving various strands into a unique pattern that represents the stakeholders.

We crafted a strong brand strategy, core brand message, compelling brand story and a versatile visual identity.

The client was over the moon with our work and operations – which is what we want!

As the new brand is put to use, we believe it will help Utsjoki stand out from the crowd for years to come, especially with travel, a key contributor for economic growth in Utsjoki.
